Serenoa repens,
saw palmetto, is one of the most durable shrub palms available for use in the southern coastal plain states. To successfully take advantage of the saw palmetto’s natural beauty and sustainability, landscape architects need to understand the natural varieties of the saw palmetto that are available, their growth rate and establishment needs. This class will enable landscape architects to specify best selections, use and maintenance of the saw palmetto.
