Green Isle Gardens Nursery
Emerging Horticulture Professional

Nursery Manager

5 years experience in nursery management

He was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago where he spent much of his childhood playing in the woods and fishing. His love for nature only grew stronger as his family made frequent trips to the Wisconsin north woods to stay at their cabin on the lake. After college, Nick promptly started work as an invasive species monitor. This lead to more hands on work, as an ecological restoration technician, restoring the lands he grew up exploring. Looking for some change from the north, Nick decided to move to Florida and began working for Green Isle Gardens.

During the past five years with Green Isle Gardens, Nick has gained “boots on the ground” experience working with natives, in both the nursery and landscape setting. He has been able to watch, first hand, the effects of different pruning techniques and their outcomes over a long period of time.

Bachelor’s degree in in fisheries and wildlife, Michigan State University.
